In St Killian’s we aim to develop the full potential of every student in a learning environment where fairness, understanding, success and discipline is pursued.

School Vision

We, in St Killian’s envisage a school based on fairness, equality and discipline providing a secure environment for learning and teaching, which is conducive to the holistic development of the whole school community. The atmosphere will be open, supportive and welcoming, where students parents, teachers, support staff feel a sense of belonging, and Board of Management are active partners in the education of all students.

1916 Commemoration Ceremony

The 1916 Proclamation was read out by students on March 15th , and the tricolour was raised at a ceremony commemorating 1916.

Members of the student council read various sections of both the old and new Proclamations.

Proclamation Day, which marks the centenary this year, is set to become an annual event and will also feature re-enactments, poetry and music.

Schools were asked to draft a Proclamation for a New Generation, reflecting the values and hopes of this generation and this too was read to the students, parents and teachers.

Our 2017 Annual 5K Run/Walk will take place on Sunday April 2nd at 1.00pm
TY Application form for Credit Union

The students from transition year in St Killian’s College in New Inn have been recently doing a workshop for the credit union. The workshop is called Clued In. We will be giving a presentation to the 1st years about the credit union and why it is good to start saving money.

We will send in our presentation to the credit union in Ballinasloe, and in return we could be sponsored.

If we are sponsored we would like to use the money we get from the credit union to fund our trips and outings.

This would be very helpful for us all because trips can be expensive for us and our parents. This would be a great benefit to us and our school. We would like to thank the credit union for this wonderful opportunity to receive sponsorship.
