Earlier this year all First Years received training on safe conduct around social networking sites and the Internet.
Ms Sinead O’ Sullivan from the PDST Digital team with the Department of Education gave two presentations to students. Areas such as our digital footprint, copyright issues, recognising secure websites and online bullying were examined. The group received certs for completing the module. It is envisaged that this module will be taught annually to coincide with World Internet Safety Day as the topic is very relevant for the times we live in.
