Our Scientist in Residence from GMIT, David Mc Grath, once again visited the school this year to help our budding scientists develop their ideas and carry out their experiments in their area of interest. This was invaluable to our 2nd year students with their classroom - based assessment 1 (CBA1) being completed in April / May. Students could carry out experiments in their own area of interest and some wonderful work was done and great results presented.
He also worked with first years in developing ideas that they can bring forward for their CBA’s next year.
