St. Killian's welcomes back Jigsaw

This month we were delighted to welcome back Sineád O’Brien of Jigsaw, Galway to speak to our Leaving Cert students ahead of the busy exam period. Sineád spoke to our leaving cert students about coping with the stresses and pressures that young people may face in life, especially over the coming weeks and months. Although the Leaving Cert period is a stress filled time, it is also a time that reveals a number of paths students can go down, all different in duration and obstacles. It is important that if students are feeling worried or stressed that they talk to someone who will help them figure out solutions. Mental Health was spoken about in a very positive light and it was discussed that it is ok to have down days; that it helps to talk to people whether it be within Jigsaw or within his/her community and circle. Student really enjoyed the talk. We look forward to welcoming Sineád back in the next academic year.
